EXECUTIVE EDUCATION & ESADE · JULY 2026

Celebrating the 2026 Executive Masters Madrid graduating class at ESADE

Santiago led the 2026 ESADE Executive Masters Closing Ceremony in Madrid, bringing together participants from across the School's executive programmes to celebrate the completion of an important stage in their professional and academic journey.

In his closing remarks, he encouraged graduates to preserve the relationships built throughout the programme, reminding them that many of the most important professional opportunities emerge through people and shared experiences. He also urged them to think big, embrace uncertainty and technological change as sources of opportunity, and continue seeking challenges that keep them learning and enjoying their professional lives. His final message was simple: stay connected, think big and enjoy the journey.

Santiago also expressed his gratitude to the class representatives for the commitment, time and energy they devoted throughout the year to supporting their respective cohorts and acting as a vital link between participants and the School. A special acknowledgement went to the representatives of the Executive Master in Finance, with whom, as Academic Director, he worked particularly closely: Amelia Tejada and Sasha Gunter Mas Weber for the Madrid programme, and Xavier Montané and Alessio Gerrucci for the blended programme.

He closed with a special acknowledgement to the Professors, Programme Managers — with a special mention for the Masters in Finance Programme Manager, Mari Carmen Donaire —, Programme Directors Alicia Ortega (Master in Marketing and Sales) and Rosa Maria Reig (Master in Digital Business, Innovation, & Entrepreneurship), Admissions teams and the wider ESADE community whose dedication makes the Executive Masters experience possible — and thanked the graduates for allowing ESADE to become part of their story, a story that, in many ways, is only now beginning to take off.

AFFORDABLE HOUSING & GENIVS · JUNE 2026

GENIVS awarded 599 affordable homes in Málaga

GENIVS secured its first definitive public tender award in Málaga: 599 social rental homes across Universidad and Cortijo Merino, representing a total investment of €87.4 million. Developed on municipal land under 75-year concession agreements, the homes will remain within the social rental regime throughout the concession period, with rents starting at €7.95 per sqm — approximately 45% below prevailing market levels in the area.

The award represents an important validation of the GENIVS model: combining public land, institutional capital and long-term management to create affordable housing infrastructure at scale. Construction is expected to run from 2027 to 2028, with operations beginning in 2029.

“Málaga validates the GENIVS model in one of Spain's leading international cities. Our ambition is to demonstrate that affordable housing can become a scalable institutional asset class — combining attractive, infrastructure-like returns with a clear social purpose, and helping address the growing imbalance in Spain's rental market for younger generations.”

GENIVS on Cadena SER: putting social impact at the core of affordable housing

In an interview on Cadena SER's Hoy por Hoy Madrid, Santiago Minguez discussed the social principles that differentiate GENIVS and the ambition behind its affordable housing model. The conversation explores how social impact is embedded throughout the platform — from keeping homes in protected rental throughout 75-year public concessions and targeting rents affordable to young households, to high-quality housing, strong environmental standards and specialised social operators providing ongoing support to residents.

The interview also addresses the broader challenge facing younger generations in Spain: making independent living increasingly difficult at a time when the country's stock of social housing remains well below European levels. Santiago explains how GENIVS aims to mobilise institutional capital to help close that gap while maintaining the financial discipline and attractive returns required to make the model scalable.
